Editorial Policy

House Care Kits publishes practical home-care content for a general audience. This Editorial Policy explains the standards we aim to follow when choosing, writing, updating, and correcting articles.

Topic selection

We focus on recurring household questions: cleaning, organization, routine maintenance, beginner DIY, kitchens and bathrooms, gardens and outdoor spaces, and practical ways to reduce unnecessary household waste. We prefer topics where a clear checklist or explanation can genuinely help a reader make a better decision.

Writing and research

Articles are structured to answer the reader’s main question clearly, then explain practical steps, useful limits, and common mistakes. We remain responsible for what appears on the site.

We do not intentionally invent personal testing, certifications, contractor experience, or first-hand use that did not occur. When an answer depends on a specific appliance, product, local code, climate, or building system, readers should use the relevant manufacturer instructions or qualified local guidance.

Safety and scope

General home-maintenance content has limits. We aim to flag situations involving electricity, gas, structural work, serious water damage, hazardous materials, unsafe heights, or other higher-risk conditions. In those situations, the appropriate recommendation is often to stop and use a qualified professional.

Corrections

We welcome specific correction requests. If you believe an article contains a factual error, outdated statement, broken link, or unsafe ambiguity, email admin@housecarekits.com with the article URL and the issue. We may edit, clarify, update, or remove content when a correction is warranted.

Updates

Evergreen articles may be reviewed when products, guidance, common practices, or site standards change. We do not add visible publication dates to article templates, but the underlying website may retain technical publication and modification information for content management and search systems.

Advertising and commercial separation

Advertising supports the operation of the site. Advertising placement should remain distinguishable from editorial content, and ads do not determine the conclusion of an article. Sponsored or paid material, if used, should be identified in a way that is clear to readers.

Reader-first standard

Our editorial goal is simple: a reader should leave a page with a clearer understanding of the task than they had when they arrived. If a paragraph exists only to fill space or repeat a keyword, it does not meet that standard.
